Medcezir / Tide - episode 6 summary

Mira was operated of aneurysm but she still has a serious illness of blood vessels. Sude wants to take her to the United States for a better investigation. But since they have no money, it's difficult to manage this situation. Faruk goes to Asim too and asks for help. Asim helps him only if Faruk gives him the whole profit from a business that must generate money three months later. Faruk accepts the condition because he has no choice.

Orkun hears Mira when, being asleep after the operation, she murmurs the name of Yaman, and then, after several days, he learns that Yaman visited Mira early in the morning. So, he decides to take revenge and to set a trap for Yaman, with the help of Hasan. Very soon though, the occasion appears. Sude asks Ender for money to go to the U.S.A. with Mira, and Ender gives her the money in their favorite restaurant. Orkun is there too and listens carefully to their conversation, mainly to the detail that Sude is going to lock that money at home, in the safe.

In the evening Yaman and Mert are talking near the pool, then Selim calls them inside to tell Yaman that Asim accepted him to be re-examined. They are very glad and they enjoy the news. In the meantime Orkun came with Hasan hidden in the car, then they broke Faruk's house as nobody was at home - they went to the hospital to see Mira - and Hasan managed to unlock the safe and to take the money from it. Mert and Yaman go to Faruk's house to take a toy for Safari, Mira's dog, but they don't see anything because Hasan has already left the house. When they get out, they meet Orkun leaning on his car and asking about Faruk. This coincidence is an excellent detail for Orkun, who will accuse Yaman of stealing the money from Faruk's house.

The second day Selim and Yaman go to Kenan, who is in jail again, where the two brothers understand that the medical assistant tricked both of them and took their money. Kenan wants revenge and asks Yaman to take the money back from that villain man. After this visit Selim and Yaman go home where all the family, with Sude, Orkun and the police are waiting for them. Sude hastily comes to Yaman, slaps him and calls him a thief ...

Medcezir / Tide - episode 5 summary

Orkun came to Yaman and they started fighting in front of Yaman's room. Selim's family don't bother with them anymore, because now everybody is concerned about Faruk, whose properties are seized the next day. Even Mithat, Orkun's father, tells his son to stay away from Mira, because now she will marry him for his money. Sude, desperate to lose the luxury she lives in, goes to Asim and humiliates herself begging him to help her family. But since she is face to face with Asim, she also tells him that Ender lended Faruk with a huge sum of money. This detail makes Asim worry about the family business.

Ayshe, Kenan's girl friend, writes him a letter that she wants to separate from him, because she can't live anymore with a man like him. In fact she is in love with Giray, another guy from Tozludere neighborhood, who promises marriage to her. Giray is not a trusty man, because very soon he starts dating Beren, Mira's younger sister, to whom he lies that he is rich and uses a fancy car left by its owner to the garage where he works as a mechanic for a period of time.

Yaman starts learning for the entrance exams at Asim's university. In the meantime Kenan calls him asking to bring him the thousand Turkish lira for the doctors. Unfortunately, the money must be brought on the same day when Yaman has exams. He leaves after the first exam, finds the money (borrows from his work colleagues, sells his mobile phone) and gives it to the medical assistant for Kenan. That man lies to Kenan that his brother didn't show up with the money and takes it for himself.

Yaman wants to go back to the second exam. In the meantime, Mira takes the car and goes for a ride to save it from the distraint. After a while she calls Orkun but he follows his father advice and tells her that he has some problems to solve. So, feeling alone, Mira goes in Tozludere to Nevin and Hasan's house where she is served with a tea. Very soon her usual headache starts and Mira gets fainted. Hasan takes her to the hospital where the doctors discover she could have a very serious brain illness and she must be operated. Yaman finds this out and doesn't go to his exam anymore, running to the hospital to see what is the situation with Mira.

Medcezir / Tide - episode 4 summary

This episode starts with Nevin leaving from Selim's with Hasan. Then, we are shown childhood memories of Yaman. We see Nevin trying to commit suicide by throwing herself in the sea, then we learn that Yaman's father, Turan Koper, might be dead, because Hasan and Nevin were witnesses to his being shot by a gangster, Turunc Nadir. Nevin has never told the truth about Turan to her children, who saw him one day just leaving the family in a van.

Kenan, in the jail, reads a newspaper where he finds out about the fire where Yaman could have died. Later, trying to find a way to get out of the prison, he pretends to be mad and to be seeing and hearing things, so that he can be transferred from the prison to a hospital in the city. He hopes that by being declared insane, he will be absolved of the punishment. So, he starts acting as a mad person and he is soon transferred to a hospital for investigations. There Kenan trusts one of the medical assistants and tells him the truth, asking that man to help him get the insanity certificate from the doctors. The assistant promises that he can do it if Kenan gives him 1000 Turkish lira.

Yaman wants to go back to his home, but Selim and Ender Serez ask him to stay until he and Orkun repair the model-house. Ender doesn't believe Orkun's story and wants to find out the truth about the fire so she says towards Orkun that she is going to watch the recordings from the street cameras. Orkun grows pale, but he doesn't say anything, hoping that there are not street cameras in the neighborhood. Yaman and his friends go shopping new clothes and shoes for him.

Faruk is about to declare bankruptcy but he still hides his problems to his family and friends. During the evening all the high society from the neighborhood meets at their favorite restaurant. Umit,  Hale's father, who invested money in Faruk's business, goes to his table and tells him that he eats and drinks on his money, and he doesn't want to answer the phone when he (Umit) calls him to ask him his money back. There is a short fight in the restaurant, but now everybody knows that Faruk is in debts. In fact, the worst is that many business men believe that he took the money and pretends to have problems, so they call him a thief.

Iffet episode 40, last episode, summary

After the fight Cemil leaves. Cicek isn't comfortable with her new family, and hearing a conversation between Iffet and Cemil she sneaks out wanting to go home. But because it's night time she gets lost and can't find her previous home. By chance she is seen by her father and grandpa who were prepared to leave the neighborhood. They want to take her back to Cemil and Iffet's but Cicek doesn't want to.

Cemil and Iffet look for the girl at Halil's and seeing that the door is locked and the house empty, they suppose that Halil and his father took Cicek away and left for good. In the meantime Halil persuades Cicek to stay with her real parents and brings her back. Iffet tries to be very kind with her daughter and leaves her watching cartoons on tv.

Dilek leaves the villa, goes to Arif's yacht and has an argue with him but later finds out that he is very ill. In a few days she calls him and during their coversation he has a heart attack. Dilek thinks that he hanged off on purpose. Later Arif dies at the hospital and Cemil gives his wedding ring to Dilek, who was his wife. Feyyaz and Serpil are about to separate because of Feyyaz mother who is a very fishy woman who broke her son's marriage. Serpil wants to leave him for good but she changes her mind when he tells her that he loves her and when his mother is sorry and admits that she sometimes lied to her.

In the end of the series, Cemil finds out that Halil took Cicek to his new house. He and Iffet want to take their daughter back but Halil doesn't agree and threatens them with a gun. Cemil starts fighting Halil and tries to kill him with a knife but Iffet takes Halil's gun and shots her husband to death.

Iffet episode 15, summary

Cemil is taken to the police station, but not for the rape against Iffet. Ahmet gave up in the last moment to the idea of the complaint against him because he thought that by doing this, Ali Ihsan would be upset and he wouldn't deserve such a treatment and a scandal like this. In exchange, he scolds Iffet for the duality she lives in and takes away her necklace with the name Iffet (chastity) considering that she doesn't deserve this name anymore.

Betul is more and more worries and concerned about the rape. She isn't sure if her mother told her the truth so she goes to Serpil to ask her what she knows about this matter. Finally she learns the truth about the rape from Serpil. Iffet comes to visit Serpil too, so Betul has the opportunity to apologize from Iffet.

Nil meets Cemil somewhere in the city of Istanbul on the sea shore and tells him that she loves him very much, but he is not anymore willing to have a relationship with Ali Ihsan's daughter. He behaves rather distant and cold suggesting that they should separate each other. When they reach home she tries to kiss him but he draws back under the excuse that Iffet might see them. Nil understands that Cemil loves Iffet and that they must have had a past together, and that this is the real reason why he wants to separate from her. Unfortunately for them, Emine is hidden after the house corner and watches them.

Betul decides to change herself and goes to a lawyer to set out the preparations for the divorce. She burns Cemil's clothes and then banishes Feride away in the street, even if it is winter time. When Cemil comes home, Betul doesn't want to let him inside, so he and his mother go to the rented house to try to spend a night there.

Dilek starts behaving kindly to Iffet, but on the other hand she becomes friend with Yasemin because she is going to ask her to seduce Ali Ihsan. In their family the argues between Nil and Ali Ihsan have just started, because Ali found out that Nil loves Cemil. Nil packs her things and moves to her photo studio and then Ali Ihsan fires Cemil. Under these circumstances, Cemil tells Nil that they really have to end their relationship.

Gulin comes back to the company and looks for Ali trying to get his forgiveness  but Ali sends her away. Then he gets very angry because every person whom he trusted, eventually, betrayed him: Emre, Gulin, Erhan, Cemil ...
Nimet starts meeting her new schoolmates and introduces herself as a daughter of a butcher. Many of them laugh at her and very soon will try to play tricks to her.

Being very sad, Nil goes in a night club and takes an overdose of drugs, then she calls Cemil up. When he comes she is already unconscious inside a toilet cabin.
Iffet, thinkling that all the problems of the family were cause by her, writes a long letter to Ali, leaves the wedding ring next to it, makes her bags and runs away from home.

Iffet episode 24, summary

Ali Ihsan stays in the car while Iffet talks to Cemil. Later we see Cemil drinking a lot of alcohol day after day. Ersin tries to help him, but he doesn't want his help. One night he goes home drunk and by chance he meets Ali Ihsan and Iffet who are in their car. Ali gets down but seeing that Cemil is drunk, he gets back inside and drives slowly avoiding Cemil who stands still.

Dilek visits Nil and humiliates her and Feride. Later, Ali Ihsan tries to persuade Nil to come back home by offering her a suitcase full of money. Nil accepts the money and buys a tv set for Feride. Cemil doesn't want Ali's money and throws the tv out of the window.  Then he goes to the villa to give Ali Ihsan the money back. During the same evening, Ali and Iffet start fighting until she fells down crying.

Cemil goes back to Arif who forgives him and hires him only as a driver assistant (he has to clean the car). Iffet wants to take revenge from Ali and tells loudly at the company that Yasemin is Ali's lover.  Now the employers have a fat gossip subject.

Betul keeps dating Erhan, but while Asuman, Betul's mother, is willing to find out more about him, Betul doesn't seem to be concerned about such details. Eventually Asuman learns that Erhan is Ali Ihsan's brother, which makes the relationship even more complicated. Betul choses to tell Erhan the truth, that she was Cemil's wife and she is carrying his baby. Then, she would like to separate from him thinking that they can't be together anymore.

Cemil has financial problems again because Ali Ihsan buys his house and he has to move to another place. In the end of the episode, Nil persuades him that since her father bought their home, the best solution is to go and live in the villa with the whole Emiroglu family.

Iffet episode 23, summary

Iffet doesn't agree to remember and retell about her being raped by Cemil. When Ali Ihsan slaps her, she leaves the police station going to her father, to Serpil and then simply wandering on the street. Eventually she goes home, packs her clothes and leaves again. Ali Ihsan tries to find her without any success. Dilek tells Aydin, the driver, to watch over Iffet, and he sees her meeting Cemil at the marina. Aydin informs Dilek immediately about where and with who Iffet is. Later she goes to an empty house owned by Ali and waits for Cemil there. He comes after a short while but he doesn't know that Aydin followed him.

Ali Ihsan take his gun and comes to that house too. Therefore Cemil must hide upstairs and Iffet opens the door but remains downstairs with Ali Ihsan. Soon after, the two husbands leave. Cemil gets angry and goes to the pub to drink. During the evening Ali and Iffet quarrel again so Ali goes to Yasemin and remains there until morning.

The next day Dilek comes to Cemil's office in the building owned by Arif. They have a quarrel and Arif hears the noise. He invites Dilek in his office to have a talk but she uses the opportunity to destroy Cemil's reputation, so she tells Arif about the rape. Finding out this dirty secret, Arif banishes Cemil away.

The episode ends when Cemil speaks on the phone with Iffet, without knowing that Ali Ihsan is next to her. He asks her to come to the ruins - an old dating place for them - and she has to accept it. Then Ali Ihsan drives her at the ruins keeping his gun at hand.

Iffet episode 22, summary

Iffet goes to Yasemin because Dilek has told her about the relationship between her and Ali Ihsan. There comes Ali too, and the three of them start quarreling. Iffet leaves after she slaps Yasemin because she noticed that Iffet is a very simple and not educated girl and Ali Ihsan doesn't have many things in common with her. Ali doesn't defend Yasemin, he goes home with his wife trying to explain that there is nothing between them except a professional relationship.

Nil tries to adapt to her new status and cooks, cleans the house, or takes care of her mother-in-law. Sometimes Serpil comes to help her. Ali Ihsan can't stand this marriage and will trick Nil to go to the hospital trying to cancel her marriage due to her previous drug addiction. Cemil is offered a job by Arif who transforms him in his right hand in exchange of Cemils' protection against enemies.

Dilek notices that Ali Ihsan turned into a tyrant and tells him what she thinks. When Nil is out of the hospital, Ali takes her at the villa. Cemil comes with Arif and some bodyguards, beats Ali Ihsan and takes Nil at his home. Iffet manages to trick Aidin and meets Cemil in a store.

The episode ends when Ali Ihsan, extremely angry on what Cemil did, takes Iffet to the police station to persuade her to make a complaint against Cemil as a violator.

Iffet episode 21, summary

Yasemin wants to quit her job at the company owned by Ali Ihsan because she loves him. Iffet tries to support Cemil in his grief because the surgery operation upon his mother was not totally successful and she is now paralyzed. Salih, Betul's father, tried to accept the idea that his daughter would have a baby without being married but eventually he can't get used to this idea. One day he quarrels with his wife on this matter and goes away by car, very angry. In short time he has an accident and dies. Ersin and Feyyaz will be the ones to bring the bad news at Betul's home.

Yasemin talks with Dilek about her decision to leave the company. Cemil calls Iffet up, but she is at home so she can't answer. Though, Ali Ihsan who is there, answers her mobile phone without saying anything, and Cemil starts speaking on the phone declaring his love again. Iffet and Ali Ihsan start quarreling because he lost his trust in her. In vain did Iffet try to explain to her husband about Mrs. Feride's dramatic situation, he doesn't care or doesn't believe her.

Ali Ihsan gets out and goes to Yasemin and stays with her until late at night and when he arrives home he sleeps in a guest room. Iffet tells everything to Saime, but their conversation is heard by Emine who stays at the door listening. Then Emine informs Dilek about what she heard. Dilek shouts at Iffet and Saime humiliating them. In the morning Serpil calls Iffet inviting her to the funerals of Salih. Ali Ihsan allows her to go, but only escorted by Aidin, the new driver. After the funerals, Cemil comes closer to speak to Iffet while she notices Aidin carefully watching them, so she realizes that his job is not only to drive her car, but also to watch everythingh she does.

Feride is brought at home where Nil takes care of her. Short after, Cemil marries Nil, to keep his promise to his mother who one told him to marry before she would die. Ali Ihsan comes at the wedding party to scold his daughter for her disobedience.

Iffet episode 20, summary

Cemil wants to take Iffet at her father's home but she prefers to go to Serpil's. Ali Ihsan is looking for her without success. When they see each other, Ali Ihsan pretends that he is only a good friend to Yasemin and he is not in love with her. Iffet is very sad and starts looking for Cemil again.

Feride is prepared for the operation having Cemil and his friends by her side. At a certain moment Iffet comes there too, so Serpil must distract Nil's attention. There is also Arif, Cemil's employer, who paid for the operation. Unfortunately Feride paralyzes. Cemil is devastated and asks the doctors for an explanation (they told him that there were big chances for a successful recovery). Iffet learns what happened from Serpil and tells Ali Ihsan a lie so that she can go to the hospital, but when she reaches there she sees Cemil and Nil talking on a bench and she changes her mind.

Ali Ihsan thinks about a child in their family as a final trying to restore his marriage. Dilek is angry again hearing such a nonsense. Ali Ihsan doesn't agree with Nil going to see how is Feride. Erhan dates Betul who is still not sure about her feelings towards him and mainly about his reaction if he finds out about her pregnancy. Nil lies to Cemil that Iffet wants a child from Ali, thinking that in this way Cemil would stay away from Iffet. But on the contrary, Cemil leaves Nil.

The episode ends when Yasemin tells to Ali Ihsan that she would like to quit her job at the company because Iffet was right to believe that she (Yasemin) is in love with him.

Iffet episode 19, summary

Feride is taken to the hospital by Ersin, then he calls Cemil up to tell him the news, so he must come back home. Feride is seriously ill and she must support a surgery operation but her health is not guaranteed, because she could paralyze after the operation. Nil helps Feride very much and stays with her as long as it's needed. Her relationship with Cemil evolves and they speak about marriage, even if Cemil is not very happy about this idea. Nil becomes very good friend with Erhan.

Betul and Erhan are together though she still hesitates on making a decision. Iffet and Ali Ihsan are colder and colder one another, because Iffet understood that Ali has an affair with Yasemin, and moreover, she understands that she is nothing more than a simple girl and Ali Ihsan is much more educated and sophisticated than she is. Thinking that there are big differences between them, as a familial and educational background, Iffet tries to make a change and goes to a counselor. One evening, Iffet and Ali Ihsan are invited at a restaurant because its Yasemin's anniversary. Iffet is a little late, so Ali Ihsan invites Yasemin to dance. When Iffet comes in, she gets angry because Ali was dancing and starts drinking much wine. Eventually she leaves the restaurant alone and drunken. On a street she loses her shoe heel and starts crying. This is how by chance, Cemil finds her.

Iffet episode 18, summary

Some time has passed. It's winter time now and Cemil works as a truck driver somewhere in the north part of Turkey. Nil is at home, apparently calm and at peace with herself. Feride knows nothing new about her son and blames Iffet for his sudden leaving. Yasemin is still the company's lawyer and she is in very good terms with Ali's family, mainly with Dilek. Erhan has met Betul and tries to date her, but she is pregnant with Cemil's baby.

Nimet belongs to an entourage of rich friends now and one evening she invites Orkun, a young man who likes her, and other friends, at Ali's home to show him "her" house and to watch movies. She is in love with Berkay, but he is already involved in a relationship with Shule, Nimet's desk mate. Therefore, Nimet feels the first pains of love and starts to not learn very well anymore, trying to copy at test papers.

Cemil, at his working place, threatens the owner that he and all the workers will leave if he doesn't pay them on time. The owner, named Arif, likes Cemil's courage and obstinacy and promise them that he will pay their salaries as soon as possible. After a while, Cemil comes back home for a short time, by surprise, though not everybody will learn about his coming back home. He returns all his borrowed money and asks Ersin to give him the taxi to work as a taxi driver during his stay. Ersin accepts, didn't know that Cemil, in fact wants to follow Iffet all over, just to see her again. In short time he leaves as unexpectedly as he left before, back to his previous working place. This time, though, Feride is ill but he doesn't know it yet.

While driving the truck to his working place, through the night, he sees an injured man next to his car. Cemil stops and goes to see how he could help that man. Fortunately it is his boss, his employer, who was very badly beaten by some of his enemies. Cemil will take much advantage in the future by saving his life. He puts his boss in the car, leaves his truck there, and drives to a cabin where there are two bodyguards, leaving his boss with them. Then he goes back to his truck and goes to the cabin he lives in where Nil is waiting for him.

The episode ends when Ersin goes to the rented house and finds Feride fallen down unconscious. At the company, Ali Ihsan is with Yasemin in his office and keeps her hand when Iffet opens the door.

Iffet episode 17, summary

Ali Ihsan, hearing about the vacation home from Dilek, gets angry with his wife and starts the divorcing procedures. When he reaches his office he learns that Nil ran away from the hospital. Nil is at her studio looking for another sachet of drug when suddenly Cemil knocks at her door. He takes her to a hotel and in the meanwhile Ali Ihsan goes to the hospital to scold the doctors because they didn't take care of his daughter. Eventually, Ali asks Yasemin to search his daughter and she immediately finds out where she is.

Ali Ihsan goes there, at the hotel room and tries to take Nil back home but she is desperately in love with Cemil because he was very sincere to her so she doesn't want to come back. During this time, Iffet, who was supposed to have dinner with Ali, waits for him in a restaurant, and seeing that he doesn't come, she goes at the villa to wait for him there. Arrived home, Ali is not happy to see Iffet in his house again, he shouts at her and banishes her away telling her that he doesn't trust her anymore.

Ali Ihsan accepts to date Yasemin and rapidly starts a relationship with her. Cemil takes Nil to the rented house where his mother lives, but exactly before getting into the house, Iffet and Serpil, who are walking around, see them in the courtyard. Later on, Iffet will tell Ali Ihsan where his daughter is and he will block all her money. Under these circumstances, Erhan will help Nil with some money.

After a while Iffet goes to Nil and tells her that Cemil doesn't love her at all, he only loves her (Iffet). Hearing this, Nil gets depressed and tries to contact her drug dealer again. She takes an overdose and fells unconsciously when having a shower. Cemil breaks the bathroom door and gets Nil out of there. While she is asleep, he finds in her mobile phone the number of that drug dealer and texts him (from her phone) to meet again. The drug dealer doesn't suspect anything thinking that Nil texted him again. When Cemil comes to the meeting place, he beats the drug dealer.

The episode ends with Cemil calling Ali Ihsan up to take his daughter at home. Then Cemil buys a bus ticket and leaves Istanbul.

Iffet episode 16, summary

The letter written by Iffet contained the story of her life and the truth about Cemil. Ali Ihsan gets angry and looks for Cemil to badly beat him in a garage. Then, Cemil goes to find Nil and tells her that he was Iffet's lover and that he is still in love with her.

Iffet goes back at her father's home. Ahmet and Nimet are surprised to see her there. Ahmet forgives her and moreover, one night comes to her bed and leaves her golden necklace on her pillow. At the villa Emine, the servant, and Dilek are very happy about the last events. Betul and Asuman are amazed to see Iffet doing housework at his father's and Betul even comes to help her with windows cleaning, their friendship seeming to revive. Ahmet wants to make a bank loan to allow Nimet continue studying at the private high school but he will have to mortgage the house. Eventually the school taxes for Nimet will be paid by Ali Ihsan

Nimet is making friends but also enemies at school. Nil is found unconscious in a club. Cemil is called up by the waiters from her mobile phone. When he gets there he understands that the situation is serious and calls an ambulance. Nil is taken to the hospital and eventually her father learns that she was drug addicted.

Iffet goes to the company and wants to give back to Dilek her shares. Yasemin, the lawyer is very surprised hearing this, because Dilek told her that Iffet was a fortune hunter. Dilek is glad to have her shares back. Nimet is the victim of a very bad joke at school. It's her desk mate anniversary and some boys from her group of friends give her an already packed present to offer to her desk mate at the party. Nimet doesn't suspect anything bad so she doesn't verify the contents of the box. When her desk mate opens it, inside there is some pork meat - a hint of the fact that Nimet is the butcher's daughter and she is rather poor. Everybody laughs at her so she immediately goes home, being a little dizzy from the wine. Iffet figures out that her sister is almost drunk and tries to hide her from Ahmet.

At the villa while Dilek finds Iffet's letter and reads it, Ali Ihsan calls to announce that Nil is at hospital. Then Dilerk goes at the vacation home and finds everything as it was when Cemil sequestrated Iffet there. Iffet finds a job at the same place where Serpil works, Nil runs away from the hospital and Dilek tells Ali Ihsan about what she found at the vacation home suggesting that Iffet and Cemil might have had a love affair there.

Iffet episode 14, summary

Emre informs Beril that Ali Ihsan is free because he had a solid alibi and advises her to leave the country. Beril doesn't agree until she gets her share of money. Emre goes to her place and shoots her. Then he calls Ali Ihsan and asks him to meet in a large parking area where he tries to kill him too, but Cemil is there and saves him killing Emre. Ali Ihsan wants to reward Cemil and gives him a large sum of money on a check. He refuses the money but Ali insists. After that, Cemil will tear up the check in front of Iffet to demonstrate that he isn't interested in Ali Ihsan's money.

Later Cemil goes home at Betul's where he scolds her parents. Feride, his mother, caught a cold because Asuman didn't let her wash with warm water turning the boiler off while she was having a shower. He destroys the boiler in the bathroom. Nimet is angry with Ahmet and tells Iffet to take her away from home. Ahmet comes home when Iffet tries to take Nimet at her villa and they start fighting each other in the street. Though, Ahmet stops beating Iffet but takes Nimet with him claiming that he must take care of his daughter. Eventually, Ahmet buys new clothes for Nimet and she tears them out in revenge. After several days he goes at the villa and finds out that Cemil is Iffet's driver. Again he gets angry and goes straight to the police to make a complaint against Cemil who violated Iffet.

Erhan tries to see Gulin who is drunk almost all the time. Cemil pays the rent for the house where Iffet wanted to live together when she was pregnant with his baby. He gives one of the keys to Iffet hoping that she would accept his love and they would date there secretly. Iffet takes the key and visits the house remembering of those days and she becomes sad.

Betul can't stand anymore Cemil's behavior towards her and, moreover, she doesn't like Feride at all. One day because Betul was very angry with her husband, Asuman tells her daughter that Cemil violated Iffet during Feyyaz and Serpil's wedding and he isn't worth feeling so much pain from her. The episode ends when Cemil, driving alone in the car, is stopped by the policemen on the highway.

Iffet episode 13, summary

In this episode there is not much action and a few things happen.

At first, Ali Ihsan is convicted of murder against Omer Ataman, Dilek's ex-husband, and the accusation is made by Beril, Omer's young wife. Ali Ihsan is taken to be investigated at the police station and the policeman eventually tells him that no matter what he says, he is the murderer because there is an eye witness who confessed. Ali denies his involvement in the crime, but he is not believed. Then, he asks for a lawyer and doesn't want to cooperate with the policeman anymore. The beautiful lawyer Yasemin, from Ali's company, is brought inside and he tells her about the incident at the bathing costumes fashion show where he hit and threatened Omer. Erhan, Dilek and Emre are in the waiting room and when Beril appears, Dilek would like to beat her because it is now that she found out that Omer was married.

Cemil takes Iffet to an isolated house owned by Ali Ihsan. He ties her up by a chair at first, but then, seeing that Iffet cooperates, releases her. He wants to persuade Iffet to become his lover or to give Ali Ihsan up, and tells her that he loves her more than anything in the world. Later in the afternoon, while Cemil is away to buy some food, Iffet learns that Ali Ihsan is accused of murder from the radio. When Cemil comes back she manages to trick him and hits him with a pan. After that he recovers, but Iffet is now next to the car with a gun in her hands. She finally forces Cemil to go to the police and to confess that he was with Ali Ihsan in the night when the murder was done. Cemil has no choice and goes to the police to help Ali Ihsan, because they indeed were together on a car ride on that night. When the policemen ask him for evidence, he suggests checking the street cameras recordings during that night. Cemil's testimony proves to be true, and Ali Ihsan is free.

The episode ends when Emre speaks with Beril on the phone and we can see that he is not really loyal to Ali Ihsan.

Iffet episode 12, summary

Cemil manages to jump over the window so that Ali Ihsan didn't see him with Iffet in her bedroom. When he reaches the gate, the watchman is waiting for him pointing a gun at his chest. Finally the watchman calls Iffet up and Cemil is released.

Cemil heard that Iffet, who couldn't drive a car, needs to hire a driver for her and taking advantage that he met Ali Ihsan at the pub he asks him to hire him as Iffet's driver. Ali Ihsan accepts the proposal without knowing that Cemil was Iffet's lover. She is amazed seeing him hired as her driver, but she doesn't say anything at the beginning. Ali Ihsan appoints his wife as a member in the company's board and transfers Dilek's shares and money to Iffet. Dilek becomes just a simple worker at the company.

During her first board meeting Iffet criticizes Dilek's new fashion line, so that Dilek gets angry and Iffet gets out of the office. Wanting to take revenge, Dilek speaks very impolite to Ahmet and Nimet when they meet at dinner table. As a consequence, Ali Ihsan tears out all the drawings Dilek had already made for the new fashion catalogue.

Cemil plays double: he still tries to make Nil fell in love with him while he buys presents for his mother, for Betul and her family from the money that Ali gave him, wanting to show to his family that he is financially secure. Then he tells them has a new job as a private driver for a very rich family - not mentioning who. He invites Betul to dine with him at a fancy restaurant and pays the debt he had to her with cash.

In the villa he is welcomed by Osman and by the other servants, but he doesn't feel happy to see Saime there. She scolds him for having the guts to come to that house and tells him directly that she doesn't trust him.

Iffet goes with Nimet at a private school and transfers her sister there, and then they go shopping. When Nimet comes home with more bags full of new clothes, Ahmet, who is a little drunk, tears them out and treats her violently. The second day Ahmet goes to Iffet's house and gives her the bags back. Iffet tries to make him understand that Nimet deserves a better life, but Ahmet doesn't seem to agree with her at first.

Omer's death is announced on tv news bulletin and Ali Ihsan, Erhan and Dilek learn about it. The first suspect is Ali Ihsan because he had previously threatened Omer that he would kill him. In the next moments two policemen ring at the door and arrest Ali Ihsan.

The episode ends when Iffet is taken home by Cemil, but he is driving on different road, trying to kidnap her.

Feriha and Emir - episode 5 summary

Everybody is astonished seeing  beautiful Feriha in the club, dressed in the violet short dress. Emir can't move his eyes from her. Later in the night Feriha complains about a headache and Hande, ready to mock of her, gives her a "pain killer" (in fact an Ecstasy pill). Feriha is not suspicious and takes it. Very soon she begins to act strangely, as if she was very drunk and Hande records everything on her mobile phone. Emir takes her at his place and when she sees herself in the mirror she doesn't recognize her own appearance, saying that this woman in the mirror is not herself.

Zehra goes to clean Cansu's apartment and finds a piece of paper where Feriha wrote Emir's name and later finds some magazines with articles about Emir. Feriha comes home and goes to bed, crying. When Zehra sees her, she thinks that her daughter must be in love. Riza and Mehmet come home from the countryside. Feriha accepts to talk with Gunce, her friend.

Koray watches on his PC the video that he made at the club and sees the moment when Hande took a small bag with drugs from a very well known provider. He immediately goes to Hande to scold her, realizing that she gave Feriha drugs to make fun of her.

Again called by the university staff, Hande admits that she started the fight with Feriha (now having proofs that Feriha takes drugs, the fight issue becomes unimportant for Hande). For the moment, Feriha is not punished anymore. They both try to become friends now and Hande makes Feriha spend her money on expensive clothes (in fact, there was the money from all the people living in her block, for the utilities). When she comes back home she asks Sanem (Cansu's step mother) to help her with a sum of money lying that someone has stolen it from her purse.

The episode ends when Emir wanting to see her, comes to her block. She is out preparing to bring home a basket with food from the market. Emir  almost sees her with the basket in her hands, when Sanem calls her name ...

Iffet episode 11, summary

Iffet sees Cemil kissing Nil. When the wedding party ends Cemil does not go home, he walks into the garden of the villa, wathes the windows and sees Ali Ihsan kissing his wife. This proves to be very painful for Cemil, who deeply loves Iffet.

Betul awaits for her husband late at night. When he comes home, tired, he quickly lies down and Betul putting his clothes in the closet is smelling ladies perfume on his shirt. Slowly she gets out of the room  taking his mobile phone too, then calls the last of the numbers. Nil answers thinking that it is Cemil calling. Betul hearing a feminine voice hangs up. The next day Cemil plays a good theater as a loving husband then gets out in a hurry. After a few seconds Betul goes too secretly following him and she will see Cemil dating Nil in a fancy cafe. At some point Nil asks him why he called her last night without saying anything. Cemil is surprised to hear that, and thinks who could have used his mobile phone. When he wants to pay the bill by Betul's credit card he learns that it's blocked (Betul blocked all her bank accounts Cemil had access to.) They spend the whole day together and Nil drives Cemil back home late in the night, by Iffet's new car. Betul sees them on the window so she strats questioning him as soon as he gets inside. He lies to her that Nil is a rich client who asked him to teach her to drive and he has to be careful with this kind of clients because he could find a better job in this way.

Iffet goes with Ali Ihsan at a reception on the occasion of an official event in Ali's company. Some of the women employees try to make fun of Iffet by playing her a farce where she is badly offended, but finally she mocks them too.

Omer, Dilek's ex-husband, tries to persuade her to take all her money and shares from the company and to go to Vienna together to lead a new life, away from Ali Ihsan. In fact Omer heavily lies to Dilek, because he takes all her money and she keeps waiting for him at the station, on the platform, in front of the train leaving to Vienna. Omer never comes and disappears with the money, going to his younger and secret girlfriend. Emre comes at the station to take her home. Dilek understands too late that Omer tricked her.

Cemil keeps trying to show his interest in Nil. In fact he wants to be with her because in this way he can be close to Iffet. One night, when Ali Ihsan is away on business, Cemil gets into Iffet's bedroom and kisses her. Exactly in that moment Ali Ihsan has come home and walks towards Iffet's door ...

Feriha and Emir - episode 4 summary

Hande locks the door and the two remain inside, blocked. Emir and Feriha start talking about themselves, but although Feriha intends to tell Emir the truth about her origins, she still pretends to be rich and hides her social background.
Hande goes at Koray's and finds him with Gunce. She imediately realizes that they are having a love affair and thinks how she could profit out of this information. Later Koray and Gunce come and unlock Emir and Feriha from the classroom.

At Feriha's, everybody is worried because her mobile phone didn't have signal while being locked inside. Riza goes in the countryside to sell a piece of land that he owned so that he can find money to pay Mehmet's debt for the damaged car.
 Zehra wants to sell her gold bracelets too.

At the university Hande starts spreading gossips about Feriha and Emir having spent a long time together locked in the classroom. Feriha, being very angry at this, beats Hande and risks to lose the scholarship. Hande is in love with Emir and she desperately tries to separate him from Feriha and to throw mud at her. Some colleagues recorded the fight on their mobile phones, so the video is soon published on the Internet.

Cansu sees the film. Previously, Cansu had a nervous breakdown and her parents are talking about it and about the fact that they should speak with a doctor and their daughter should take some pills.

Koray invites Feriha to an event that will take place at night in the Hills club, owned by Unal Sarrafoglu, Emir's father. In the beginning Feriha says that she can't come, but later she thinks what lie to say to her mother. She takes one of Cansu's dresses (Cansu often gave her clothes if she didn't like them anymore) in her purse and lies to Zehra that she will sleep at Cansu's during that night. When she appears at the Hills, in a violet sleeveless short dress and high heeled boots, everybody is startled by her beauty.

I still have hope (Umut and Ozan) - episode 1 summary

Umut lives with a large family in a rather poor neighborhood of Istanbul. She is frequently scolded by Musa, her elder step-brother, who is influenced against her by the twin step-sisters Yelda and Selda. She works in a well known beauty salon where one of the stable customers is Ms. Asude, the owner of a models and actrices agency. Hale is Umut's best friend and co-worker.

One day Asude has to provide some girls for an event taking place during that evening and she takes Umut and her colleagues because her models are not available. Ozan, the son of a rich businessman comes to this event and accidentally meets Umut, falling in love with her at first sight. Seeing that Umut is followed by Mete, Asude's husband, who thinks he could have a love affair with her, he pretends he is Umut's boyfriend and manages to get rid of the insistent Mete. This is how Ozan and Umut start a conversation and begin to know each other. During this short dialogue, Ozan learns that Umut doesn't like rich men because she thinks they are mean and selfish. Musa calls her and she has to go. Being in a hurry, she drops a small necklace on the floor, by mistake. Ozan takes it but Umut has already left home by car.

The next day Ozan comes to the beauty salon and persuades the owner to hire him telling him that he made a bet with his father and if he wins, he will get 5000 Turkish lira and will share the sum with the salon's owner. In this way Ozan can be with Umut and he tries to know her better. They even walk together after the working hours, but Ozan lies to her that he is a poor young man living in a poor house (he shows her an old house telling her that he lives there).

In this first episode we also find out that Mete has a young girlfriend, Leila, and he intends to divorce Asude, the twins Yelda and Selda dream to become actrices, Yelda has a secret boyfriend, Mayfur, Zeliha (Umut's mother) has killed her first husband and many other little details. The episode ends when Musa, who owns a coffeeshop, hears from Yelda and from some of his customers that Umut has a boyfriend. One night, he waits for Umut outside their home and sees her being kissed by Ozan. So, he gets very angry and takes a knife out of his pocket ...

Iffet episode 10 summary

Everybody is shocked of Gulin's pregnancy. Cemil goes home where he behaves politely with Betul, then he goes for a ride by taxi with his father in law, Salih. They stop on the sea shore and they talk together. Cemil wants to demonstrate Salih that he doesn't care about them and he won't do what they want, so he throws the taxi cab in the sea water. Considering that he has no choice, he and his mother, Asuman, move to his wife's house.

Iffet goes to Serpil, her friend, to tell her the news. Then she tells Saime about Gulin's being pregnant (in fact Gulin lied just to prevent Ali Ihsan's wedding with Iffet). Everybody go to the hospital to see what Erhan is doing, but he is still in a deep sleep, unconscious.

Iffet gives back to Ali Ihsan the engagement ring thinking that he would take Gulin as his wife, now that they are going to have a baby. Erhan wakes up but he still can't talk. When his elder brother comes to visit him, he types on the mobile phone that Gulin isn't pregnant. Learning the truth, Ali Ihsan asks her to do a pregnancy test right away, since they are in the hospital. Gulin refuses and starts crying.

After a short while Ali Ihsan and Iffet are having their wedding ceremony, at Ali's big house. Cemil and Betul watch Iffet on the window when she is taken from home. Nil invited Cemil at his father's wedding and he comes trying to seduce her. The episode ends when Iffet finds Nil and Cemil kissing.

Umut (Gizem Karaka) is a young woman of 23 lives in a poor neighborhood of Istanbul with her mother, younger brother and stepfather, who has three other children. When she was 6 Umut lost her father and Zeliha, her mother, re-married Zafer, a taxi driver who was a widower. When he met Zeliha, he was living alone with his three children, Musa, 10 yo, and two twin girls, Yelda and Selda, seven. His desire was to remarry a woman who could be a good mother to his children.

After marriage, the couple had a child together, Ali. Umut hardly adapts to her new family and she has a difficult relationship with her siblings, especially with Musa (violent and trouble maker), who is constantly influenced by the twins against her. Umut works at a famous beauty salon.

Ozan (Sukru Ozyildiz) is a 25 years old young man, rich, funny and playboy who falls in love at first sight when he meets Umut by chance. When he learns that she works at a beauty salon, he goes there and insists to be hired as a hairdresser, for her sake. The two like each other very much and they begin to know each other better, so a profound love appears between them. However, Ozan still doesn't tell Umut much about him and who he really is, because from the very beginning she revealed her prejudices on the rich people. Because she comes from a poorer family and despises the rich, Ozan lies to her that he is poor too. Both keep their love away from people's sight: Umut because she has a traditionalist and strict family, Ozan because he lied about his origins and because his parents wouldn't accept Umut as their daughter in law.

As the relationship goes on, Ozan wants to reveal his girlfriend who he really is but never finds the right time to do it and the more he loves her, the harder it seems for him to tell the truth.

The series tries to be a modern Cinderella with new problems: how long can Ozan lie that he is poor? What will happen when Umut finds out the truth? Can they live together, having so different backgrounds and different conceptions of life?

Eventually they get married, but Ozan had an affair before marriage and that woman becomes pregnant with him. When Umut finds out, she leaves him and asks for divorce, trying to give a chance to a young man, Hakan, who loves her. From what I read on the internet, I understood that the series was supposed to have 60 episodes, but because the rating dropped sharply at a time, it ended after the first season as it follows: Umut and Ozan reconcile, Melis (the pregnant woman) dies and the two heroes grow the orphaned child together.

Feriha and Emir - episode 3 summary

Riza and Mehmet are at the police station, with Unal and Emir Sarrafoglu. Feriha is on the hall, but she tries to hide herself. Riza and Mehmet don't try to avoid paying for the car's damages, even if they have to pay a lot of money. They prove to be honest people, though, Unal despises them because they are poor. Anyway, Unal despises his son too because he was a fool to leave such an expensive car, days on end, at the mechanic's.

Zehra is cleaning Sanem's house. They try to sell their valuable things to find the money for the first bank rate. Feriha may go to school again, because her mother insisted to Riza. At the University, she has to lie about the reason of her absence and she avoids speaking to Emir. Mehmet is fired from the mechanic's and tries to find a job in the newspapers ads. Feriha loses some beads in a classroom and when she goes back to find them, Emir is there with the beads in his hands. They try to speak together and Feriha wants to tell him the truth about her, but still she doesn't have enough courage.
